IOS Packet Capture
Have you ever found yourself troubleshooting a voice issue and you come to the point of needing to grab a packet capture on a router? This solution has caused me to push all of my router build’s of material to have high capacity flash cards (without compromising cost of course) and in those instances where I need more space than alloted in flash I cary a 1GB Compact Flash Card temporarily to grab these captures. I have found this a great tool when needing to troubleshoot:
- SIP Trunks through CUBE for detecting bleeding DTMF
- Multicast Music on Hold to the ISR then out via a PRI Trunk
- Audio quality issues through an ISR
